The PhoneTree® Desktop
The PhoneTree® Desktop is the main screen where you can easily select your PhoneTree®.
Let's look at the options available on this screen.
- This is the tab panel, which appears on all five of the desktops and will
allow you to navigate between them. Simply click on a tab to go directly to
the desktop associated with that tab.
- You are already familiar with the PhoneTree® icon--it represents your PhoneTree®.
To go to the List Editor screen of your PhoneTree® , just click on its icon.
The icon can be changed by going to the PhoneTree® List Editor screen and selecting
Desktop Icon... from the Setup menu. You can also change the icon by right-clicking
on the icon, which brings up a sub-menu. If you choose the Edit This Icon
option from this sub-menu, you will be taken to the List Editor screen of
your PhoneTree® and the Desktop Icon dialog will appear.
In addition to these options, there are more options in the menus at the top of
the screen (Navigation and Help):
Navigation
The Navigation Menu contains five options, PhoneTrees, Tools, Tasks, Admin, CallCenter
and Exit. Choosing any of these first five options is the same as clicking on
the corresponding tab--i.e. choosing Admin from the Navigation menu will take
you to the Admin desktop. Exit takes you out of PhoneTree® and quits the program.
This is the same as clicking on the Exit button on the side button panel.
Help
There are five options under the Help menu, PhoneTree® Help, Contents..., About...
and Enable Features.... The first two (Help and Contents) are online help specific
and will provide help topics that you can search for and read information on how
to use PhoneTree®. About will bring up a screen that tells you which version of
the software you have installed, and provides general contact information for
PCS. Enable/Check Features will allow you to activate extra options you may have
