Configure Phone Lines
- Enter the line access code followed by the letter "T" (wait for dial tone)
in the upper box labeled Prefix (example below dials '9T' for an outside line)
- If you need to dial a line access code for long distance numbers (even if
it is the same as your local line access code) enter it in the lower Prefix
box.
- Repeat steps C & D for each line (port) you have purchased, by selecting
each installed line in turn that is active the "Select Lines" column.
- Click the OK button at the bottom left of the screen when you are done.
If your PhoneTree® is correctly installed and recognized, the line cards will be
displayed on this screen as a simple number, i.e. 2. Anytime you see a number
shown between two hyphens, that means the PhoneTree® line card is NOT recognized
by Windows® , i.e. -2-. Also, when a correctly installed number is highlighted in
the list, you will see the green dot at the top with the word "Detected" next
to it (as shown in the picture above).
